the screen freezes up and tells me to restart my macbook what's goin on??

every 10 minutes something popped up and froze saying that i have to restart my mac book. iz there a virus?? what shud i do so it wont pop up for me to restart every 10 minutes again?:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
What you got is a Kernel Panic which is equivalent to Windows' blue screen. Are you doing a specific task or running an application when that happens? The easiest thing to do would be a backup and then do a reinstall.
