I just restored my iPhone 3GS to 4.0.1 from 4.0.1 and now I am getting this message. When I bought the phone it was already activated as I bought it used and then I jailbreaked and unlocked it.

I have saved my SHSHs in 4.0.1, if that helps.

How can I activate this phone because I do not have the sim card required to activate....

Please let me know.

when i was in the exact situation, i re-jailbroke and re-unlocked. it worked. i guess as long as you can get access to your apps on the iphone, means it's not showing as activation needed, you can always re-jailbreak.

Well I cant rejailbreak or unlock unless I can get into the iPhone and use it.....

I found out I need a AT&T sim to make it work, as I dont have any as I am in Canada, I called my local cell repair shop and they are going to charge me $25 to get the iPhone activated :(

I know that I can probably get one of those SIM off the internet for $6 that can activate phone but I need this urgently....

Is it worth the $25?
