Anyone else like this movie? I thought it was pretty good and kindof reminded me of Pirates of Silicon Valley. Chime in and discuss..

I really enjoyed it... great acting, never really got boring, and from what I've researched almost all of it was true.

I went to it thinking it was going to be some lame movie about Facebook but it surprised me.

from what I've researched almost all of it was true.

Do some more research. It's almost entirely fiction. Even the broad strokes are made up, such as the reason Zuckerberg made FB. In the movie, it was to get chicks. In real life, he had a girlfriend at the time. They're still together. One example among many.

It's fiction. That doesn't make it a bad movie, it just makes it entertainment and not a documentary. What makes it a bad movie is that it's about FB.:p

Right? I don't think I could sit through a movie about facebook no matter how much of a badass david fincher is. The soundtrack is pretty rad though, definitely worth a listen for anybody who dug reznor's work on Ghosts.

The Social Network Facebook

In my personal opinion I think this movie was pretty good it makes you think a lot one of the things I was analyzing when I saw the movie first of all never speak up your business plans with nobody, if you need help with your business ideas you should come to people that are reliable such as your family. The twins and their friend were pretty silly thinking that Mark Zuckerberg was going to work for them, they gave him the idea but he was smart enough to develop by himself the whole idea with the help of his best friend.
What do you think about it?

I really enjoyed it! It took "action" films to another level. I felt like I was consistently invested in watching it, and something was always happening. I David Fincher's movies in general too.

Never say "I researched" and then say you were reading Wikipedia.
As someone has said, it is almost entirely fictional. I have not seen it but I would really like to.

I bought the DVD the day that I came out... Best movie of the year IMO.

Liked it, but hated zuckerberg after watching it. Although you have to respect him for what he created. I wonder how much of the not caring about money and aloofness is true.

Idk that...

Whow...I just watched the movie last night after dl via Fast-Debrid.
Dude, I thought it was true to life.
If Mark already had a gf back then, then why should they change the purpose he created facebook? What's the deal? Just don't get it.

I thought the movie was okay, I didn't find it super interesting but what could I expect it's a movie about Facebook ...

It was okay. Though fictional or not, I think it made Mark Zuckerberg look like kind of a douche.

Yeah, it was a fairly balanced movie. Wasn't any real bias towards either party. Story pretty much as it happened, give or take a few pretty woman.

I tried watching the first fifteen minutes or so and couldn't get into it. Just didn't seem like the type of movie I could like.

I also don't use FB or Twitter.
