I know they aren't Bose but for a 8 inch tablet they are the best that I have heard. Somehow apple even managed to get a little base in them.

Yes I too noted the speakers are very good in my opinion also - nice and loud (which is great when sat in my car on a cold night with engine running (I drive a Panzer) and lots of clubs/drunks making merryment in the street.
I can actually hear whatever I am watching on netflix. I seem to remember my iPad2 not being quite as pronounced sound wise.
