The Spotify iPad app is EASILY the worst app I've ever used

So the iPhone app was also terrible but got a complete overhaul a several MONTHS ago. Not only did it do away with the ugly UI but included needed features likes "saved music" and "discovery". The iPad app still hasn't been updated for MONTHS. There isn't even a damn shuffle option, wow.

Add insult to injury, for a few months there has been an iPad glitch that when using the app in landscape it rotates from portrait mode every time you open up the app and it has never been patched, even though there have been many updates to the iPhone app

If you go into the full-screen player, there is a shuffle option. Not the best implementation, but it is there.

You can't save albums for quick access like you can on the mobile version, you have to make playlists which are mixed with actual playlists you want

You can't easily access downloaded songs

Rotation bug

Unlike iPhone app, of you add duplicate songs to playlist it doesn't tell you


There are MANY missing features and functions, and it's hideous

Go on Rdio ;-).

Here are some screenshots. Rdio basically won me over by it's design. It all comes to it when you compare streaming services.

PS: the black status bar doesn't exists on iOS7 ;-).

The beats iPad app is significantly better then the spotify iPad app
