Hello All,
I recently bought a Sony A80J 77 inch oled. The TV supports Airplay 2 and Dolby Vision , and i am also a fan of Sony Bravia XR upscaling and processing so i usually like using the native apps for streaming rather than Apple TV 4K Box which will life the upscaling away from the TV.
While the normal Airplay 2 streams are not triggering Dolby Vision Mode on TV . The same file via Photos App triggers Dolby Vision Mode.
My Question is by any change ios apple photo app is outputting 4K HDR to TV via Airplay. While all other apps does not or are limited to 1080p over Airplay?
Please can you test this in any one of your sony or airplay supported tvs whether it is streaming in 4K and not downscaled to 1080p (not via the Apple TV 4K Box).
