In Chaos of Three Kingdoms, technology refers to research on ATK of troops, battle formations etc. Upgrading technologies is the main way to increase your competitiveness in war. All technologies can be found in Academy in your Base, and basically can be divided into two types: ordinary tech. and formation tech. The Lv. of ordinary technologies influences your comprehensive strength, reflected by the number of soldiers your generals can command, the ATK, DEF, tactical performance of your troops and so on.
No technology can be developed easily. The Lv. of each technology is closely related to that of the Academy, and you can only upgrade it by consuming Honor. Every time your Academy is upgraded, the maximum Lv. of ordinary technologies will be raised accordingly. In the new version, you can experience extraordinary strength of the seven new technologies only if your Academy reaches Lv. 101.
If you upgrade Leadership, your generals can command more soldiers. You can increase ATK and DEF of your generals by upgrading 天兵 and 神甲 respectively. Also, you can upgrade 破阵 and 严阵 to increase the skill ATK and DEF of your troops, or upgrade 帷幄 and Penetration（明察） to increase the tactical ATK and DEF of your troops. There will be a certain period of CD time between every two Tech. upgrades.
