I am thinking about buying a macbook unibody when the student discount comes out. I've heard they might offer a free iphone but doesnt that seem to be a dumb pick since the ipod touch is worth a lot more than a refurbed 8 gb iphone?

iPod Touch = $229

iThink that the AT&T contract probably covers the difference.

Plus it's a coupon that is given towards a product, it only qualifies on certain products.

Additionally, it's all speculation until Cupertino speaks.

Apple typically gives NEW products for the BTS promo, not refurbished.
