The supplied extension cable for Notebooks.

Hey everyone,

This may be a stupid question but you know the longer power cable you can plug into the power brick.....but are these different model to model?

My old MacBook Pro one was the same as my iBook and my current MacBook Pro.

I think I lost my new one - but I'm afraid to use my old one haha. Even though it fits and looks identical - is it possible these will cause my computer to melt? It's just a cable but I was wondering haha.

That cord had an update here in Europe where we use Schuko plugs, but the end that plugs into the adapter is always identical.

(So no, it won't melt your computer.)

You'll be fine. The adapter is always identical IIRC

Nope, 99% sure they are interchangeable. If it fits fine it should work. It is, in fact, just a cable

They're the same. If it fits into the Magsafe brick, it'll charge it without a problem.

No. If there was a chance of that then the cables would have specs clearly indicated on them so you could differentiate them.
