Anyone know how I can stop Disk Images opened from Safari defaulting to the non-Brushed Metal look for Finder windows, they seem to like inhibiting me from easily dragging the therein contained Application to the sidebar applications folder..

Also, why does the icon size for "All windows" not really apply to all windows?

It's up to the discretion of the programmer as to how the disk image will show, so there's not really a way of making it open with the sidebar by default. Of course, if you already have a Finder window open then you can select the disk image from the sidebar and you'll keep the sidebar view.

Also, check that individual folders not complying with the All Folders view have All Folders checked in the View Options. :)
