The translation widget

Hi!
Do you sometimes have problems with the translation?
Mine is that sometimes it takes the widget quite a long time to trnslate a word...
Do you experience that problem too?

I have the exact same problem. I can put a word into the translator, then:

1) Open Safari
2) Google search "google translate"
3) Click the link
4) Enter my word to translate
5) Select the language
6) Get my result

... and the widget still hasn't finished translating.

I have the same problem. Most of the time it takes a while to translate a word or phrase, so I just close Dashboard and go about my work until it's done.

However, I have encountered once or twice where the translation widget will actually translate in real time. I'm not sure what factors affect that. I wish Apple would fix it, though.

Do you think there will be a new dashboard version where you could, for example, arange oyur widget as you like, and not by hte default alphabetical order...

I don't know what could be different but I find the translation widget to work pretty quickly (nearly instantaneously actually). Though I will admit now and then it does clog up, but hitting tab a few times (I suppose it triggers the fields by switching to them perhaps?) does the job of putting it back on track.

Ya, i think my translator is kinda dumb, takes awhile too, but it works lol.

My translator is very inconsistent. Sometimes it will translate in real time, but sometime it will take a whole minute to translate one word.

It never used to do this though. At the beginning of 10.4 it was almost always in real time.
