My friend and I were just talking (texting) about how much we both love our phones, and how enjoyable it is to use.

I’m a tech geek who upgrades my phone every year, she’s someone who seldom upgrades (she upgraded from a 5S), and we’re equally happy with the X, and are both thinking of upgrading to a 2018 iPad, assuming it comes with Face ID and swipe gestures, because we like them so much.

ETA: I’ve had mine since launch day.

Definitely a keeper. Had the phone for a full 24 hours today and it’s been an absolute joy to use.

Definitely a keeper. Now, is it worth the price? Nah, I think it should be cheaper. Is it a must have? No way, it's really great to have, but the iPhone 8 is perfectly fine for everyone really. That said, I have it and love it and I'm absolutely keeping it for a good while.

I think that's the biggest hurdle, is justifying the price point. The iPhone X is a great device and we all know it's Apple's current iPhone for the future with Face ID and gesture controls. But if somebody can justify and afford the price of the iPhone X, I would recommend it.

I’ll see how much it is when it’s successor comes out next year. Not paying over a grand while it’s new but hopefully they’ll be some good deals next August/September. If not i’ll look at the iPhone 8, or 8S/9 whatever they decide to call it.
