I have no clue how this would even get there.

Oh, and it's not a scratch. Thanks detectives.

How is it hard to see from the picture..?
It's not a scratch. The screen doesn't scratch to begin with.

Lol. Wtf.

Actually the screen can scratch.

Yes, but cmon this is common sense. If i take a key to the screen it won't show a visible scratch. And the odds of a "scratch" happening right on the edge of the screen..

Looks more like a thread to me. Perhaps from a piece of cloth, or even a plastic thread from a protective cover.

PS. A lot of people think the iPhone glass is tempered and/or scratch proof. No, it's just very clear (optical) glass. It's not tempered, thus it breaks into dangerous shards. And it's not scratch proof... as some with keys and/or sand in their pockets have found out.

You must have one hell of an iPhone then because I know that if I did that to my screen I'd be screwed.

Kdarling, yes i know the screen scratches.

And iParis, no it's nothing special. I've done it because friends don't believe me. Yes it probably scratches but you'll need a microscope to see it.

Wrong choice of words on my part, not hard to see, but hard to tell what it is and you say it is a hair so I believe you its just odd looking in the picture is all.

Ok, the screen ARE NOT made out of different materials.

the screen ARE NOT? ;)

It's okay. But you know, it is extremely hard to take a picture like this with just a good point and shoot camera.

Looks like a scratch but the thread theory is probably dead on. If it doesn't affect functionality then I would move on. If it does, buy yourself another phone because I seriously a thread impeding on your screen is covered by Applecare.

/detective.

What do you mean?

It was a sarcastic at correcting your grammar.

I thought it was a grammar issue, but you just forgot the s.

And yes it could look like a lot from the picture, but I have the phone, and it's a hair. I don't really care, it's just like, how the fudge would it get under there.

No, the only grammar issue I had was forgetting a period.

I think I got some dust under my screen, doesn't really bother me and I can't see it that often so I think I'm just going to leave it,

Hair, like sand and other mico thin/small objects have a way of working themselves into the smallest of spaces. This happens.

wow, why is it so hard for me to visually grasp what I am seeing?

I feel like this is one of those things in kids magazines and are zoomed up super close on some object and it says "Can you tell what this object is?" And then on another page it shows you the whole thing.... haha

I assume that thing in the middle is the 'hair', but is the enitre pic just a close up of a spot on the screen?

See the object that doesn't belong on the iPhone? Yeah, that one.

Thats what you get for saying Macro Mode For the Win... what win? Seriously this meme was funny and trendy at first but now it's getting annoying.

How do you know it's a hair and not a scratch? Did you just run your fingernail over it or do something else? What does it look like with the screen on?
