The new unibody macbooks need a new (shorter) nickname

I put forward UniBook

Any more suggestions ??

Yes I agree UniBook is a lot more specific, has there been any kind of name for the new white macbook that just came out?

Not sure don't think there has yet

Why do we need a name for a spec update? Seriously? Call it the MacBook. When people press it, they'll say it's white.

As for the unibody, call it the aluminum MacBook. That's what it is. Giving it a cute name will get you SO much flack from people.

It'd be the "iTouch" of notebooks. Don't do it.

Aluminum MacBook.

Amen. Sheesh. Is the name so long it needs a dumb nickname? No.

Agreed 100%, there is no need for some nickname for it, we aren't typing a text message, so why do we need to shorten it? Is it really that hard for people to type Unibody MacBook (Pro), or Aluminum MacBook?

Really agree. I want to smack the people who say "iTouch". Is it seriously so hard to say those extra couple letters? It's like calling the iPod Nano the iNano.
Just call it either the Unibody Macbook, Aluminium MacBook or Late 08 MacBook (most Mac guys will know what you're talking about with the last one).

Completely agree!!

dumb suggestion. are you really that bothered that you can't type out a few more letters?

let's stop replying to this thread and let it die, along with the moniker attempt.

Thank you!! I hate "Glassbook" (Dumb), "Glassbook Pro" (Really Dumb), now "Unibook"? (Super Dumb).
At least if you go into the Applestore and tell the Genius, "I'm having trouble with my Unibody Macbook they will know what you are talking about since Apple uses the Unibody term.

Don't let me get started on the iTouch either.

Did glassbook die?

Blackbook rolled off the tongue better and it's something I would actually say in public, but glassbook, unibook? It's and Aluminum Macbook, it doesn't take that long to type it out guys come on. ( or just Alu Macbook )
