About 30-40 minutes total. Including being in line, looking for cases, and activating the phone. I was about 7 dollars short on my pre-paid CC, the manager gave me a 10 Apple Gift card and I was able to complete my purchase. iPhone 4S 16G, AppleCare+ and a case.

Top notch customer service from Apple.

What did you, the ones that didn't pre-order experience with your 4S purchase?
