i havent ordered one, i'm torn between the macbook and macbook pro. hopefully i'll order within the next week, because i also need to find out what my income will be from the job i'm about to start. so who ordered a macbook?

White 2GHz 80GB 1GB w/ VGA and video adapters.
I was sold by the magnetic cover compared to macbook pro's latch.
I had an 17" PB and the area around the latch release was a bit dent after 12 months or so.

Give me a week and i'll have convinced myself and my student account overdraft that i just HAVE to have one.
My wife has been complaining for weeks that she needs a computer, and I've been insisting we wait for the MacBooks. It has been a long wait ... I even found myself looking at a Dell 710m a couple of times, wondering how hard it would be to install OS X on one, so this morning I ordered a 1.83GHz, 1GB RAM, everything else stock.

I ordered mine within minutes of them showing up on the mac store. I've been waiting for this one to come out so I could replace my G5 imac and finally not be tethered to a desk. Here's the specs I got:

Cannot wait, checked them out in Apple store regent's street this afternoon, they are amazing, the build quality is a mile above the iBook G4's and the screen and Keyboard are great in my opinion...Not to mention they are blazingly fast and super thin!!!

I didn't find backlit keyboard much useful from my experience with 17" PB since i always need the lights on.
