Anyone know why I'm getting the error, "The uploaded image is too big" when trying to attach a 2.5 MB image file to a MacRumors post? I've seen people attach MUCH larger (>5 MB) images, so I'm a bit confused as to why I'm receiving this error. This has happened on a number of occasions.

I usually resize images down to maybe 750-1000px at the absolute maximum, before uploading to a web forum. 99% of the time people are just skimming past it inline and IMO it's a waste of everyone's bandwidth to put up huge pictures.

What's frustrating about this issue, is the fact that I cannot upload an image from my phone without downscaling it in some way. I wish the forum software would keep pace with more modern photo resolutions.
