Dave2D has a YT on perhaps one of the more unusual ways to use a Mac, but it does highlight the flexibility of power that lies beneath the sheets of the GUI. I'm more comfortable with windows cmd shell, and I typically have several cmd shell/powershell windows open on my work laptop. So what D2D shows off, fits right in to my line of thinking.

I've already downloaded much of what he's showing off, this is the beginning of my console - its a work in progress, I need to finish configuring aichat and the file manager.

It’s interesting, but I think that’s specific to what that user is doing. He’s staring at code for eight hours a day so why not make that more enjoyable. I don’t think the average user would benefit from watching YouTube this way.

Granted it has some cool matrix aspects that would be really cool to impress friends. I’m just not sure how much of this is actually useful outside of the way that person was using it for. Maybe it has other cases for people that work with text a lot.

My main take away from that video is try different things to see if something works better. If you’re someone that uses a Mac for productivity, there are all kinds of ways to make your workflow more efficient. Most people don’t use a fraction of the things they could do on macOS.
