The World’s First Beer Hotel — With In-room Taps and Shower Mini-bars — Is Finally Opening

Now there is finally a reason to visit Columbus, OH! They have the world's first Beer Hotel. If you're a lover of the sudsy beverage then this is spot for you! It doesn't hurt that Brew Dog is an exceptional regional brewer, either!

In March 2018, Scottish beer company BrewDog launched a campaign for the “world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel,” complete with taps in all the rooms, mini-fridges stocked with beer in the showers, and a spa that uses beer-infused products.

Fast forward 17 months later and the 32-room hotel is now inviting guests to “the world’s first beer hotel where you can wake up inside a brewery.”

Starting Monday, Aug. 27, craft beer lovers can expect to be greeted by a whole host of “rocking amenity options” at The DogHouse in Columbus, Ohio.

While you will sadly not be able to soak in a hot tub filled with IPA, the brewery has been able to make good on the rest of its promises, including in-room taps filled with seasonal BrewDog beer, mini-fridges stocked with beer in every room and shower, and malted barley massages for a vitamin B-rich spa experience.

It's a booming thing in the Czech Republic. But they are using pilsners and lager.

Not my idea of fun, to be honest, although the Czech Republic is home to some rather good beers.

Brewdog makes some incredible beers, especially when the team up with other breweries. I would go just so I could have a tap in the room and what I am assuming, have access to a lot of the beer we never get to see or hear about unless you are local to the brewery.

I was lucky enough to have on cask, their "Tokyo" stout which clocked in at 18% a few years back at Congregation Ale house. Absolutely loved it! Back then, there really wasn't the high ABV we see today, so it was something special.
