The X-Men Begin???

dang! i was just going to post this. i think i speak for all of humanity when i say "oh crap... all hail our mutant overlords!"
 
I saw this and it really made me curious as to what this kid is going to be like when he's twenty or so. If he gets into power lifting or wrestling, he could wipe the floor of all the competition. But who knows, for all its advantages, this mutation might not be one that we'd like to see in the general populace.

I'd rather have stronger muscles without the extra mass - if he looks like a bodybuilder at 12 with a 20" neck that's not exactly a good thing....

Incidentally, there was a special on the Discovery Channel a few months back that predicted in the future squid will evolve into land animals and take humanity's place. There were highly-intelligent tree-climbing squid, squid "elephants", and super advanced aquatic squid. It was actually a really cool special (it re-airs occasionally on Discovery and Animal Planet) if you can catch it - it makes speculative predictions about plant/animal evolution on earth over the next couple million years.

So I figure, well, it's either the mutant overlords or the new squid masters, one of the two will make us thier b*tches in the next few million years.

the movie in my head right now is a 50-foot toddler in bunny pajamas (with the trap-door butt, of course) wrestling a giant land squid for control of the earth. and the land squid has laser vision! oh, man, BEST. ARMAGEDDON. EVER.

Ahh, the squid may have laser vision, BUT the toddler has a secret weapon, he just needs to turn around and open up that trap door..... :eek:
 
Hmmm. No information was disclosed about the father. Hmmm....

Was Ah-nold was in Germany a little more than five years ago? ;)

how he behaves if he doesn't get the toys at time... dad and mom from the neck up to the wall... GOD!!! Science has to investigate the BIG why...
 
This is only a slight variation and for all we know it probably happened in the past and even could have been more likely then. He will be on the outer edge of the curve in terms of strength when he grows up but it won't be anything super amazing. I wonder if you were to test some of the athletes in the world's strongest man competition for the same defect if you would find it.

If it was my kid, it would be hard not to call him that :D

I just hope he can live a normal life and not end up being exploited. I'm glad there is a level of anonymity to the piece.....
