Toronto, Duh!
To make a long story short, a pickpocketing bastard stole my 2nd gen iPod Touch today. Is theft covered by the standard warranty?

I don't believe so but if this is within 1 year of purchase and you bought it with a credit card, it may be covered under the Purchase Assurance coverage on that credit card. Mastercard is good for this...

dudeee you remember me when I lost mine in the bus, I thought some kid will see it and go home with it. I skipped school to see that bus again and luckily the driver had my ipod!!!

btw no they don't.......

 Thats why you put it in your velcro pocket.

*RIPPPPPPP!*

*Whatcha doing there buddy?*

Uhm only if you have the Apple Care thingy for an addition 80 bucks.

Lucky boy! Some drivers would take it home for their kid or something like that ;)

I don't think Apple Care extended warranty covers theft either. The apple care warranties are only for manufacturing defects. No accidental damage, loss, or theft.

Squaretrade is so much better. It has options for accidental damage. Im not so sure about loss or theft though.

A homeowners insurance would cover theft, but it would depend on the deductible. If you or your parents have a homeowners insurance with a deductible that is less than the price of the iPod Touch, it would be covered. If the deductible is more, then there is no recourse.

Agree with that. Because then everybody could sell one and claim that it was stolen. BTW: My first gen Touch got stolen last year, I know how you feel. :(
