Hi guys, I was on youtube looking up some tutotials on macs and came across this guys video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dlk027ZBvg8&feature=fvw (forwards to 1:52)
and saw he did some pretty cool mods to his appearnce theme. now i kno in windows u can choose wat color you want want, but i havent figured it out for mac, i came accros magnificat or somein like that, but i couldnt figure out how to make it how i want it.. does anybody kno how to change my color scheme similar to how that guy did it in the video?
thanks

his mods are pretty simple.

Here are some apps I recomend you download:

The easiest way to customize your mac is Magnifique the app you already found. It has some interface flaws in my opinion but once you figure it out its probably the safest way to do it.

But if you want to take it to another level then use Architect. It is more advanced and it is for building your own themes.

Then he just simply set the background of finder windows to a picture, using the tools BUILT INTO MAC OS! :) Just right/control click a a finder window and choose "Show View Options", and set "background" to picture.

Changing icons is also easy. Download icons from websites like interfacelift.com and when you download them right click on them and select " get info " then select the mini icon preview

and simply press commandC on the keyboard like you normally copy things. Then go to the folder or app you want to change the icon, get info again, and paste that icon over its previewy icon thing.

you can change your dock using an app from the website leoparddocks.

Have fun and PM if you want to know any more techniques (geektool, bowtie etc)

I can't wait for the architect release, I've used the beta for a while and it's ok. I'm stoked for their theme store.
