Then I could not wait any longer. So I had to just order a MacBook Pro 17 "| 2.8 GHz | 256 GB SSD | antiglare display.

So now it's just waiting. Am good enough to try the 256 GB SSD.

Price. 19895 DDK / 3826 USD / 2356 GBP.

congrats :) Does anybody know the markup on Apple SSDs? is it worth buying through apple or a 3rd party?

Also, be sure to post plenty of pics when you get it!

Most people say third party, but if you want the SSD to be covered by Apple's warranty, order it from them.

I will. I chose Apple by getting SSD in because I do not think I could find other such good SSD hard drives.

I've already had one of the same. It was with 500 GB / 7200 RPM, but sent it back because of the beeping and clicking sounds, but the mistakes they have addressed now, but chose to book one with SSD, because I could order through the Apple Campus with 12% discount

Just remember if you order ANYTHING other than stock parts, they will not fix or work on those parts in the Apple stores. I had a problem with that since they apparently do not carrying 7200rpm hard drives in the apple store even...??? really?? lol. Anyways, word of advice...it's not fun.

Its funny that Apple wouldn't fix it just because a different hard drive or something in it. I guess most people on here put the original parts back in before sending to applecare.
