ok so i have a 2008 mac pro with the 8800gt card in it and i was thinking about upgrading to the 4870 but it is $350, and it has that stupid display port on it. so my question is if i were to get a PC 4870 card and flashed it would it work exactly the same as the mac one? or will be some problems and glitches that i will be running into? ive never looked into flashing a card till now so im totally new to the subject. thanks in advance

We know that it will be possible to do.
We don't know if both DVI will work, as the Apple ROM will be, what, designed? for a Mini DisplayPort.
It's "theoretically" possible, as is reflashing a PC 3870, but insofar as I'm aware nobody has pulled that one off a year later.
