Hello everyone, I am new here. I am pretty desperate about a problem that my Iomega_HDD external hard drive is having right now.

I was verifying and repairing my HDD with Disk Utility because I had a problem transferring some files from my Mac OS X (Snow Leopard 10.8.4) to the HDD, but upon verifying & repairing it a lot of files don't show up anymore on the HDD. Neither Finder nor Easy Find can't see them. I have tried to repair it again with Disk Utility to solve the problem but it doesn't work, here are the messages that appear:

Using the Verify & Repair function:

Verifying 109952 records ...
$UpCase file is formatted for use in Windows NT/2K/XP
Verifying 5452 folders ...
Deleting entry "01 Aon.mp3" from index 0x5 "."
Minor inconsistencies are detected on the volume. 2 files contain incorrect links count

The volume /dev/disk3s1 has been repaired successfully.

Errors were found but not fixed 'cause read-only.

Here's what appears looking at the HDD information section:

Capacity : 500,11 GB (500.105.217.024 Byte)
Format : Filesystem Windows NT (compressed)
Available : 90,33 GB (90.331.136.000 Byte)
Used: 409,77 GB (409.774.080.000 Byte)
Number of folders : 0 Number of files : 0

As you can see it's almost full, but only a small part of files show up and what is bugging me is the NUMBER OF FILES/FOLDER: 0. I have tried using TestDisk and it finds ALL the files but I can't write them back on the HDD. I also used demos of other recovery softwares and they all can see the files, so they are not deleted. What can I do?

Sorry for the messy post, I am not an expert in these kind of subjects and English is not my main language, thanks in advance.
