With screen closed. It can be done with any kind of macbook so why not the air. Dont people use the air for a home theater device? Do they have to keep the screen open? To me its nuts. For a while until i gotmy mac mini i was using an old white mcbok as a desktoo. Screen closed no problem. Anyone know the reason or do i have to call apple?

There is an application called Sleepless that works great for disabling the sleep function. It adds a little light bulb to your top status bar that lets you change the sleep settings whenever you would like. It cost $9.50 but I think is well worth it. You can try out the software before you buy it if you would like.
