iPod touch There might be Bluetooth on the new iPod touch

Every EU stores show a Bluetooth icon next to the battery bar. You can also find some strange letters under the plastic stand but they're quite not readable.

Hint or mistake?

The BT icon is only on one image.
The text is because the reflection is from a different shot of the iPod.
It's the track, album and artist name or something.

See the Bluetooth symbol in the upper right? (Just left of the battery indicator)

IMO - it's has BT, they just didn't announce it until they come out with their apple bt headphones. Just two little ear buds with no wires.

Besides that, it would make syncing so much easier with your mac. They always tout no wires yet for some reason, apple loves to have you plug in your ipod.

Wouldn't bluetooth make transfers painfully slow? like 3 minutes per song? I don't think it will be on the ipod, since you still need to plug it in for charging.

yeah, for a song, if u just transfer a photo, or a small app that is 200KB in size, BT is much easier.

It would be really nice to have that option, i'd use it, since i transfer like 10 songs every sync, but still, it would be confusing for people to say: "with bluetooth you can transfer stuff, without wires!!" and then on the fine print "it'll take 30 minutes for a video", and videos will be a big part of the touch.

Can they please make wi-fi transfers an option, now that would be nice!

Yep. All the iPod touches come with the stand. It's listed in "What's in the box" on the apple website... as far as I know the iphone doesn't come with one.

The stand comes with the iPod touch. Far from a good dock but it's OK.

If it has bluetooth, they would have mentioned something during the keynote...it would be another great selling point. I don't see Apple adding new functionality and not mentioning it.

However, I'd love to see the Touch with bluetooth, just for wireless headphones alone...would do wonders when I'm training in the gym/going for runs.
