I got bored so I decided to a bit of statistics with O2's pricing for the iPhone contracts.
I first set out using simultaneous equations to compare the contracts. If you use the £30 one as the standard iphone package plus 75mins and 125 texts you can minus those from high contracts like the £45 giving you 1125mins and 375texts for £15.
Following me?
I did this between the £35 and £45 and found that the texts would have to be minus numbers if they were to satisfy the equation.
I then used the basis:
You can use your messages bundle to send picture messages in the UK and abroad. One picture message equals four normal texts, or if you've got no bundle texts left, they cost 24.47p a message (21.28p excluding VAT).
Divide that figure by four and then times in by 500 (number of texts with £35) you get around £30, meaning you leave £5 for all other services.
If anybody wants to shed some light on this feel free.
