New mac user
Just received a Mac from a friend who upgraded. So without thinking I formatted the drive and obviously had no discs(not my proudest moment). Ordered new Install discs from Apple and when I try to install it says "Checking your Installation DVD" and then throws up an error that "There was a problem checking your disc" I would really appreciate if someone could direct me as to where to go from here as I really want to start using my new Mac and cant really afford to bring it for repair.
