There will be plenty of iPhones on Sale Friday

I don't think I ever saw "hype" about iPhones being sold out, just deliveries for the 19th through AT&T are "sold out" and will be coming later in the month.

And WTF...how in the WORLD was the 3G iPhone a MAJOR upgrade over the first iPhone...it wasn't...all the mainly added was 3G and change the back casing.

The 3G S is a MAJOR upgrade internally, which is all that counts, IMO!

Lol, exactly! If he doesn't call this major hardware upgrade then something's wrong.

256 MB of Ram
600 MHZ processor
32 GB hard drive
3 MB camera with autofocus
7.2 MBits
Bluetooth 2.1
Video camera (30fps)

All of that cannot be added using the 3.0 software. The 3G iPhone specs didn't improve like that!

I purchased my 3G on the day it came out and am not able to upgrade yet. I think they have left a bunch of us out who would have purchased on the first day. Just think how many they sold in the last year and none of us can get one unless we pay full price. This guy won't pay $499.

Why not 399 for 16GB? Still too high?
 
i just thought about it...seems like the 3gs is a hell of a deal.

i just got my 3g 16gb and new att contract a couple months back (paid $299 for the 16gb)...
seems like only a hundered bucks is not much for the huge upgrade I am getting with the new hardware..
ill be getting the 32..but honestly, the iphone prices arent bad at all..the $299 price was right after a price reduction too..
 
Yes, reports of iPhones sold out based on pre-orders is absolutely false. Nice strawman since no one is saying the iPhone is sold out. Just AT&T is advising new pre-orders won't be delivered on the 19th.

Also, a Level 2 Cache
And Voice Commands
And Volume Control on the Head Phones

People saying this is a small upgrade are flat wrong and trying to justify not being able to or wanting to spend the money.

People with iphones want the most current stuff and the fastest speed.
Most are going to upgrade -there will be lines but nothing that will
be too bad. Within a month there will be no line imo.

The 32GB was enough for me let alone the internals and camera. I'm in middle July when the upgrade is again open for me.
 
I'll place this guy in the camp that thinks the only difference between the 3G and 3G is the on the box, a compass and voice control.

Dude on that site is lame, he deleted at least two comments that stated there were hardware changes. They were not even rude comments IMO.:rolleyes:
