I just noticed this pop up a few weeks ago, and it looks (at first) like just a speck of dust is under the screen, but I'm quite sure there is a little dead spot on my 3G iPhone screen. After looking closer, it looks like there are quite a few little dead spots that look like dust, and it's kind of distracting in certain lights, or when there is a black background on the phone with a bunch of seemingly white spots.

Would this make my phone exchangeable? Has anyone else had these problems?

Sounds like dead pixels you're seeing rather than dust.

Dead pixels = immediate replacement if, of course, there's no physical signs of user damage.

Well, I did drop it once, but the dead pixel showed up months later. Hopefully that doesn't void me from a replacement. I guess I'll have to pop into the Apple store and ask.

Thanks for the tip!
