At most....
Maybe even iOS 11...
There's no way that Apple is going to let iPhone 6 have only 1GB RAM in late 2014 when other phones has over 2GB and the next iPads will diff have 2GB of RAM.
64bit does not work well on 1GB of RAM....It uses up more RAM than 32bit iPhone 5

Juan says....

To stop with the speculation and wait for the actual release and wait for specs.

You don't know where apple is going with it's OS, so right now, your point is not valid.

Just saying, we don't know that much about the iPhone 6, nevertheless the specs of it.

Wait for the release...

I agree that iPhone 6 will have more than one gig. I disagree with your reasoning, becuase the 5s is most likely going to make it to iOS 10, so the 6 will easily run iOS 10 :)

Yes but not with all features if it has little RAM.
The 6 would not have all features but it has to be strong enough to handle iOS 10 because it will be a huge update due to it's numbering.
Just like Mac OS 10.0
It was a huge update.

and so is OS 10.10
when it comes to features.

This is a good point that I had not thought of. But I don't doubt it will have just one gig cuz this is usally when apple upgrades the ram

Ram, ram, ram, that's all people complain about on here :p

No I would disagree. People complain about there battery life first in September or October when they get their new phone... Then around June or July they come back to the forum to bitch about ram!!

Yes people i believe the next gen iPhone will have more ram. No more need to be asked on this problem

I agree that iOS 10 will be a big update (thats what I'm hoping :D ) so I bet they will give it 2 GB.

----------

Lets look at the past iPhones:

iPhone 2G: 128 MB

iPhone 3G: 128 MB

iPhone 3Gs: 256 MB

iPhone 4: 512 MB

iPhone 4s: 512 MB

iPhone 5: 1 GB

iPhone 5s/5c: 1GB.

iPhone 6 rumors: 2GB

Looking at the past trends, it looks like they have never actually raised the RAM by too much. Its always been (at the most) 500 MB. Could they give it like 1500 mb?
