Going through Apples preapproval process, I get to the spot where the want to confirm my carrier, which is Verizon. You enter the phone number and the pin number, then hit "confirm carrier". That's when I get "There's something you should know". "Verizon may require a deposit in order to purchase a new iPhone."
I called Verizon, they know nothing about it. I call Apple, they know nothing either. There would not be a reason Verizon woould charge me a deposit, I've been with them for 15 years with no deposit. I've been on the Apple Upgrade program since the beginning through Apple.
But nonetheless, there's apparently a glitch. Anyone know what the problem is or how to solve it?
One year I couldn't get through the preapproval process. It turned out my phone had been replaced by Apple, and therefore the serial number did not jive. No one knew how to solve the problem. Any thoughts?
