There's still one way to get an Anti Glare 1440 x 900 screen

The Apple refurb store has last years models in stock.

After that those of us who want the 1440 x 900 option with anti glare are out of luck ... say hello to tiny fonts if you want AG.

Oddly enough, they are way way more expensive than they should be. Very odd. How much were they selling for maybe 1 month ago? I figure that they should be about $1400 refurbished.

the 15" AG refurb is 1399.. but it's the one with 9400m only. I'm considering it only because I don't need a lot of gpu but it's seems kinda overpriced.. 1500 after tax for that model just doesn't excite me

Yep...this is what drove me away from Apple. I refuse to pay $150 more for the only matte option on the current line, and I refuse to pay premium prices for last generation tech in the refurb store. If they had been reasonable with the option I would remain a customer. The constant creeping of prices and "options" cost them several customers that I know of. There is a point it becomes greedy and they crossed it.
