Is there any way to remove and reapply the thermal paste without voiding my warranty? And the warranty includes AppleCare right? Could I take it to an Apple store or something?
The heat is killing me, its hot enough to make my non A/C'd room uncomfortably hot

You can do it yourself as long as you don't break anything. If you do any damage, you are sol though.

Opening the machine and removing the motherboard/logicboard to replace the default thermal compound will undoubtedly change the specifications of the system - hence voiding the warranty.

You could theoretically do it without Apple noticing, but whether they notice or not--legally, your warranty is likely void.

There's an authorised Apple Retailer in Edinburgh, and I'm looking at getting my thermal paste sorted - my average temperature is 62'C.

Would they be able to do it? And is this sort of thing covered by the warranty?
