Thermo Watch Replacement?

I use the Thermo Watch app on my watch to control my nest thermostat. Got an email from nest yesterday saying that they are discontinuing the 'Works with Nest' program, which is how ThermoNest is able to access the nest info (from what I understand).

Looking for what other options are out there for preferably controlling my nest thermostat from the watch, or if that's not possible, using another brand of thermostat that does allow for adjustments from the Apple Watch,

I use the app as well. Too bad Google acquired nest. Google doesnt care at all about people that buy their products.

Wait what? That’s literally my most used app. I didn’t get the email. Have you checked with the dev? He’s quite responsive.

I haven't contacted the developer, but I do recall him posting something a while ago when Google first announced that they would be reviewing this, that he wasn't sure if legacy apps would be grandfathered, but it doesn't seem like it, based on the press release.

I reached out to the dev (and pointed him to this thread) and his response was:

“If you are using the “Sign in with Google” option in Thermo Watch, or if you have signed in using “Sign in with Nest" option sometime in the last 3 years, this service shutdown won’t affect you at all. If you are on the older Nest account, and have last signed into the app more than 3 ago, you may need to sign out and then sign back in using the “Sign in with Nest” option in the app.”

That is fantastic news. Thanks for clarifying. Definitely less of an issue than the email made it seem like.
