Good to see that the iPhone 17 Pro no longer plays way too loud on the lowest volume setting like on the 16 Pro.

Yup I also found this settings for loudness reduction and volume limit. Really nice options.
Not even the settings, just by default the iPhone 16 Pro at lowest volume was way too loud, had to make a shortcut to set it at 3% to get it low enough. Now just by default without using any of those settings low volume is actually low.

I do notice however there is a bit of speaker crackle on the lower speaker on low settings when the phone is charging, I guess it is noise from the charging circuit creeping into the audio.

are you talking via Bluetooth or the speakers? I haven't checked BT yet, it would be great if they've solved that (finally!).

but I have noticed that the volume level from the speakers is way reduced from the 16 Pro when at the same setting, by several decibels. not sure how I feel about that yet, though I guess I'll get used to it.
