Thick Paper Printing on LaserWriter's?

I have 'Cardstock' thick paper but in EVERY LaserWriter the paper Jamed, I tried this on a Lexmark Optra R 1855 I think it was and it worked, I had a LW Color 600, LW Pro 810, Personal LW, Etc... What can I do to fix this or can I get a cheap laser (I need for cost and speed) printer? I need to get it all set so I can get updated Retail Stickers for my DashMini Boxes ;)
