I am gonna purchase a straighttalk sim for my iPhone 5, but they dont have nano sim for sell right now so I guess I will have to buy a micro or standard sim then convert it into a nano sim. As I know the nanos are a bit thinner than the standard and micro.
I should purchase a standard sim or a micro sim to cut down with a cutter?
Anyone here tired to convert? Is the thickness of the standard/micro sim gonna work with the iPhone 5 sim tray?

I've cut down 2 sims successfully and both times I had to sandpaper it down a bit to avoid forcing the sim into the slot

I think I am gonna use the nano sim cutter.. So they are too thick for the iPhone 5 sim tray?

Try it and see. It's not like sand paper is expensive if it doesn't fit. Some have been able to do it without sanding. There is a Noosy mini to micro - micro to nano combo cutter on Amazon includes the tweezers to handle the SIM and a piece of sand paper.
