Hey everyone - I'm hoping someone has some advice for me.

I have a very thin vertical blue line that goes down my imac screen. From reading, it sounds like I need to replace my LCD, but before I buy a new LCD (or a used one on ebay), I wanted to see if anyone has any other theories. I've read something about the the logic board, but I'm not sure if that would cause that.

A few things to note:
Screen shots do not show the blue line
I've tried the PRAM reset
My computer was just reformatted

Any advice?

Thanks!

If I recall correctly from my Apple Genius days, vertical lines are LCDs and horizontal lines are GPUs. So you’ve probably nailed down your issues.

Thanks, I figured that was the issue. Appreciate your help!
