Thin iPad case with front and back

Hi,

I know there are tons of threads regarding covers for the iPad but I am looking for something very specific and I hope that you can help me find what I am looking for.

  • The case should be thin as I travel a lot
  • It must be somewhat protective (cover the corners)
  • It should not cover the bezel of the iPad
  • It should cover both front and back of the iPad
  • It must have the magnets to make the iPad go in and out of standby
  • It must fit the new iPad
  • It would be great if it has two positions: one for writing and one for viewing movies
  • Also, it's a plus if it looks somewhat nice :)
It would be great if the case is available in Europe.
 
The Joy Factory SmartSuit3 is a very nicr case and has everything you want.
A back case with the Apple Smart Cover is nice too, like the Incipio Smart Feather or Belkin Snap Sheild.

The SmartSuit3 case would be perfect! It doesn't seem to be available in Europe, though :(
 
What I don't like about the Macally is that the front cover folds in three peices.
The SmartSuit3 and Smart Cover fold in four peices, I think that is more stable when you fold the front in a triangle for typing for example.
I hope you understand what I mean...

I understand. I didn't think about that. Now I'm in doubt. It's just, I think the SmartSuit3 is quite expensive.
 
I want the same things in a case as you.
After long searching for a good case I wanted to buy the SmartSuit3, but it is very expensive...
Now I am going to buy the Belkin Snap Sheild or Incipio Smart Feather with a Apple Smart Cover.
I think that is a good choice for you too.

Maybe you are right. I prefer the Incipio Smart Feather but again, it's difficult to find in Europe. The Incipio looks better than the Belkin.
I'm just afraid if it will look stupid or if the two cases will "blend together nicely". Also, do you know if the Smart Cover will still stick to the case with magnets (in the left side) or will it be put together with the back cover and then the back cover will be snapped on?
I'm afraid that the Apple Smart Cover magnet in the left side will scratch the iPad.
 
Just use a belkin sanp shield for the back, and a leather smart cover for the front. I have the frosted back shield with a black leather smart cover. It protects the entire device with minimal added bulk. And it looks really nice to boot.

you do realize that the smart cover is $40 plus the cost of the back exceeds the cost of the $60 smartsuit3

I live in the Netherlands, the prices here are different:
I can buy a Smart Cover and a Belkin Snap Sheild at my local Apple store and I have to order the SmartSuit3 at a UK-webstore...

SmartSuit3: £60 = €72 (without shippingcosts)
Smart Cover + Belkin Snap Sheild: €40 + €17 = €57
 
Smart cover and best skins ever on the back (only).

There's the thinnest possible route for protection.
