A very thin blue vertical line (and then a second one) appeared on my iPad Air screen today. After trying a restart and software reset without any luck, I took it to the Apple Store. They said it was a hardware issue and just gave me a new iPad. I was very impressed with the service but wanted to post this in case anyone had a similar issue. If your iPad is under warranty it doesn't get any easier than just walking out with a new one.
