iPod touch Things you don't want to hear from you apple Genius

I went to get my Ipod touch looked at, and the apple genius said to me, "whoa, I haven't seen one of these things yet."

Anyone else had experiences like that?

But hey, it's a brand new product, it's not like they got some hands-on time before the store got em in.

Ya know, I don't think that some of these touches were supposed to make it out this early. For example, The Apple store in Cleveland recieved touches last Friday, 9/14, but they have not received any since. Additionally, the BB stores in the area seemed to have some, but have been sold out for the last few days. I also experienced the same thing while in Denver over the weekend.
The other two things that could be holding things up:
1. Typhoon hitting Shanghai at this time.
2. Apple is responding to the issues and they have halted production in order to get things fixed.

Maybe this is only isolated to my particular area. Is anyone else seeing enexplained outages in their area?

Just for fun...

I think a list of hypothetical things you wouldn't want to hear from your Apple Genius would be a hoot.

For instance:

"Dude, it's busted."
"Hmmm... well, I know that when I'm at home using iTunes on Windows..."
"Wait! Awesome! How did you do that?! "

Terrible. I know you all can do better...

And on topic-y, yesterday at Fashion Show a cashier ringing up an iPhone asked another cashier, "Does this thing come with a dock?" OMFG. You should know that.
