iPhone 16 Pro Max Think I got a lemon: constant freezing and resets

Very frustrated. My 16 Pro Max constantly freezes, goes to a black screen with the spinning circle, and will either shut down, or surface the Home Screen after a few minutes. I’ve done three full factory resets and continue to see the same issue. It will work fine for a few minutes, and then I’ll try to open some random app (Apple and third party), then the freezing starts again. Taking it to Apple early next week. Just curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing.

Of note, I am running the 18.1 beta. However, I saw the exact same issues with 18.0.

I'd go ahead and take it to an Apple Store for an exchange or contact Apple Support since its still within the 14-day return period

Edit: I'm on 18.1 beta with no issues on my 16 PM

I am running the beta and also have beta issues. Sometimes it restarts, the screen doesn’t always rotate, freezes, etc.

That’s the plan, but I doubt they’ll have any replacements in stock.
