with all the damage i personally don't think its that good of a trade, although i suppose if you could sell it on as is and get abit more money for it than you paid for your ipod then its not too bad.

that damage just doesn't sound all too good to me

Ya, I'm kind of starting to think that. Anyone else have any ideas? I might just change the hinges and it would be all good.

Since this is my laptop - I'll be happy to answer questions.

I though it was a pretty good trade, what do you think the retail value of this would be on like craigslist, the people there usually will pay more, Do you think $550 is an over calculation? thanks.

$550 in my view is a bit of an over calculation. There are newer MacBooks on the Intel architecture that range anywhere from $600-$900.

Don't forget to ask how the hinges broke...

The laptop hinges functioned properly until an incompetent customs official took the laptop out of my backpack and dropped the PowerBook into a bin. The latch then dislodged from the lid and it was downhill from there onwards. This took place in your wonderful city of Manchester.
