I mean, there are always the hardcore Apple fans who will line up on day 1 for anything, but do we think just having the iPhone 4 in white will create a lot of traffic at Apple stores? I remember when the Verizon iPhone came out, their stores were practically dead - although that wasn't the Apple Store, admittedly.

Just wondering what people think :) Was thinking about going with my girlfriend to pick one up for her but we're not in the mood to confront a mob. Good to finally see it, in any case.

Someone from HK reported pretty long lines.

Fifth Avenue Store in NYC has 7 people lined up already.

So, take a guess.

lol when were you there? I was there during my lunch break and only saw 3 people.

So, someone is stupid enough to pay 199 dollars for a phone in mid 2011 and sign 2 years contract?

1. no 4G or even HSPA+
2. Single core and most of phones are becoming dual core
3. Apple's WWDC is only about 6 weeks away.
4. Rumors are rumors. It is very likely that apple will release new iPhone June or July.

Enjoy.

Not sure I'd use the NY store as the medium in which you'd base your average Apple store by.

I'm in Dallas, but from word of mouth I don't expect anyone standing in line for a phone thats already been on the market almost a year already.
But I could be wrong.

Lines, yes. Long lines? Jeez I hope not.

For here in Pittsburgh, though I will not be there to verify, I would expect around 25 when they open. I HOPE they made enough of these things to not have another iPad 2 like mess.

You'd best arrive before the Asian horde.

Why does it have to make lines? this isn't 2007 anymore. Lots of people order it online so there is no need to get in long lines

There def will be lines. YOur best bet is to visit at&t and verizon store(IF they have them).
