Thinkin about buying an iPhone.

I am thinking about buying an iPhone.But since i dont live in the states i would have to hack the phone. And as we all know the lates update bricks the iPhone if it´s hacked.
So,the big question:
Does anybody know if the iPhone comes loaded with the 1.1.1 update or do you have to update it your self?

Postings on here have indicated that phones with 1.0.2 firmware were still being sold. It's a matter of time (probably a very short window, if any, at this time) until 1.1.1 is pre-loaded on them.
