Thinking about buying a refurbished unibody MacBook

I'm thing about picking up a MacBook unibody 2009 and I was wondering if this laptop would last me around 3 or 4 years of college.

Here are the two I'm thinking of buying. My only problem is that one comes with leapord plus mircosoft office and the other just has loin. I was wondering which one should I get? I'm kind of leaning towards the one with the office install but if I buy and install loin, will office be erased?

I would get the newer of the two and the one of better condition.
GGJStudios has a good point- you may want to consider an apple refurb with up to 3 years of applecare.

I'm trying to say if the MacBook itself will last me. Like I the outdated processor will still be usuanle considering if the laptop breaks down or not

If you bought an Apple Certified Refurbished MacBook, it should easily last 3-4 years. I can't vouch for the used MacBooks that you're looking at, however.
 
Does anyone know of other sites other than apple.com that sell cetafield refurbished?

"cetafield refurbished"??? If you mean Apple Certified Refurbished, as I said, they are only available from Apple's refurbished online store. They are not sold elsewhere. Anything else you buy is used or "refurbished" by some 3rd party, which doesn't have the same guarantees as Apple.

Installing Lion doesn't remove apps, although some apps may not be compatible with Lion.
