Thinking about buying new MBP

I currently have a 2.8 C2D MBP from last year and am thinking about upgrading while the difference in price wouldn't be too extravagant. I mainly use it for uni work/word processing/playing games/itunes etc. Would I notice any difference if I upgraded?

I'm considering the same, but after reading about some peoples problems with their new i5/i7's I'm not sure what to do?

I've upgraded from the 2.8ghz core 2 duo (previous gen macbook pro) to the new i7 17" 2.66ghz macbook pro and it is a HUGE difference in overall speed!

The i7's makes the OSX experience feel that much faster (feels equivalent to the first generation 2.66ghz 4 core Mac Pro desktop!).

Its a big upgrade and well worth it.

As for the issues another poster was talking about, I have had 0 issues and I've had my i7 since day 1.
