I currently still have a 2013 air that I've gotten on release day and it has served me well and continues to do so, that is until
I recently got into video editing as a hobby and have been enjoying creating videos. Unfortunately, my air is really struggling to edit videos on iMovie (I wanted to splurge for final cut pro once I got a new mac). On top of that, there isn't much storage space left so that's another thing I'd like to update along with the ram.
I was wondering if I could double up a trade-in with the educational discount offered by apple? I tried looking on the website and there doesn't seem to be an option that allows me to finance it simultaneously to buying a new pro. Could I buy the Pro, then trade in my air and have whatever trade-in value go towards my balance? (Not sure if that's a thing)
I am also still interested in that new 14" mac rumored to come out..... eventually... so I was wondering how do Pros generally hold their values once a new model is rolled out? I was thinking about trading it to apple and then paying the rest (Just to avoid having to resell it myself).
Thanks all!
